Prerequisites:
Familiarity with copper foil techniques & basic soldering
skills. Although this is a beginning box class,
some level of glass skill and basic glass equipment are
necessary. Even though there is no cutting in this
class, you should not attempt this class if you have never
worked with copper foil before~this is an intermediate
level copper foil class! |
• |
Course
will encompass a single, full-day Saturday session. |
• |
Maximum
class size is 8 people. |
• |
Cost
is $75 per person, which includes basic glass
supplies (bevels, mirror, top, hinges, decorative brass)
to complete one box. |
• |
We
will construct a small bevel box with a hinged lid during
this class. Instructor will select all bevels and finish
materials for this project. Students may purchase alternative
materials for decorating box top from Studio supplies, or
may bring own decorative materials. However, students should
keep in mind class time constraints. |
• |
Student
must provide copper foil, flux & flux brushes, solder & soldering
iron, patina, and other necessary equipment which will be
spelled out in class handouts. |
|
These are lots of fun to make & make great gifts. For
