(8 hours of classroom instruction) course which introduces
students to basics of copper foiling, grinding, soldering,
creating a beaded seam, patinas and finishing a panel/project. Homework
required. Normally taught one night/day per week during
the week. Preliminary glass skills needed for success
in this course. Occasionally taught as a one-day course. |

4-week (12 hours of studio/classroom instruction) course which introduces students to basics of glass cutting; creating a pattern; laying out the project, and either (1) glueing and grouting the project to create a mosaic; or (2) working with cement to create a stepping stone. Either course requires use of basic glass tools and some homework; access to studio time provided between classes. Normally taught one night per week. This is a fun class and will introduce the student to 1001 uses of scrap glass. |

½ day
(4-6 hour) course focusing on the creation of stained glass
stepping stones, using pre-cut kits and mosaic tiles; no cutting
involved. Focus is on proper fitting of pieces; cementing;
and finishing of completed stones. [Weekend class] |

This is a one day mini-course suitable for beginners in which the basics of fusing will be covered. We will explore the ins and outs of the fusing process to make "wearable art" (pendants, pins, earrings using pre-cut glass blanks and dichroic glass, Firesticks™ and/or Firethings™. This is the hottest (pun intended) glass medium so come and learn a new use for glass. |

This
one-day intensive class is taught at the intermediate
level, and is for experienced glass crafters ONLY! It is
not an entry level class, but a hands-on introduction to
the copper foil technique. In order to complete the class
in this limited time frame, pre-cut kits
will be used and we will concentrating on foiling, soldering,
and finishing techniques only. |

2-3 day (8-12 hour) course to introduce students to 3-dimensional, panel-lamp construction using copper foil techniques. Focus is on proper cutting; grinding; assembly of individual panels into completed lamp; patinas; and project strengthening techniques. Extensive “homework” required to complete in timely fashion. One night per week or on consecutive weekend days. |
